Tubeless Tire Puncture Repair Strip – Rubber Plug Seal for Car & Motorcycle
Tubeless Tire Puncture Repair Strip — Rubber Plug Seal for Car & Motorcycle
A nail or screw in a tubeless tire doesn’t have to mean a tow truck. These rubber repair strips seal punctures up to 6 mm in diameter from the outside — no tire removal, no bead breaking, no compressor required. Carry a pack in your glove box or tool bag and handle roadside punctures in under five minutes.

How It Works
- Step 1 — Ream: Insert the reamer tool into the puncture and work it in/out 3–4 times to clean and roughen the hole
- Step 2 — Load: Thread the repair strip through the eye of the insertion needle, centered
- Step 3 — Insert: Push the needle with strip into the puncture until approximately 1 cm of strip remains visible
- Step 4 — Pull: Pull the needle straight out — the strip anchors inside the tire and seals the hole
- Step 5 — Trim: Cut the protruding strip flush with the tire surface. Re-inflate and check for leaks
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this a permanent repair or a temporary fix?
A: A properly installed rubber plug strip is considered a semi-permanent repair for punctures in the tread area. It is not suitable for sidewall punctures. For high-speed or long-distance driving, a professional internal patch repair is recommended after the plug repair.
Q: What is the maximum speed rating after repair?
A: Most tire manufacturers recommend limiting speed to 80 km/h (50 mph) after a plug-only repair until a professional internal inspection and patch can be performed. Always follow your tire manufacturer’s guidelines.
Q: Will this work on motorcycle tires?
A: Yes, for tubeless motorcycle tires only. Do not use on tube-type tires. Check your motorcycle manufacturer’s guidelines — some manufacturers advise against plug repairs on motorcycle tires due to the lean-angle forces involved.
Q: How many strips do I need per repair?
A: Typically 1 strip per puncture. For larger holes (4–6 mm), 2 strips inserted together may be required for a complete seal.
