PDC probe sensor connectors are mounted inside the rear bumper, exposed to road spray, car wash water, and temperature cycling. The 2-pin connector at each individual sensor is the most vulnerable point in the PDC harness — moisture ingress causes corrosion on the signal pin, causing the PDC module to interpret the affected sensor as missing and trigger a continuous beeping warning. Replacing the individual sensor connector restores the signal without replacing the sensor or the PDC module.
Q: My PDC beeps continuously when reversing but only one sensor is faulty — can I just replace the connector?
